Over the past six months, we have asked everyone—from Barton, TRPA, and Douglas County—to provide details or data that support this project making sense. So far, we've received nothing. The only conclusion we can draw is that the Barton Executive Board wants a large sign on Highway 50.

Our group of concerned citizens might support the idea of allowing a sign if Barton agrees to scale back the 89-foot structure and eliminate the helicopter operations at this site. We’ve even created a two-sided sign for them (for arriving and departing traffic in the South Lake area).  Barton Leadership
